Experimentation

Experimenting with images of the snow geese I photographed using existing book pages, pen and pencil crayon. Yes the colouring is rather yellow! Love the old calendar page, have quite a few of them that i kept from years ago, think it is the simplicity of the large red numbers on them. Need to practice with the idea that is clear, however it is also liberating to post images that are imperfect or even unfinished.

Inspiration feeding the ducks!

While feeding the ducks we had hungry gulls come for a visit. Such a contrast in angles and shapes I find inspirational.Also love how the orange webbed feet of the geese contrasts with the white snow. Sketchbook ideas are brewing!

An introduction

As way of introduction to my new blog I thought I would post pictures of my current teeny tiny studio space (aka storage space!). The reality of the need to make with not much space to hand. But make I do and things get made and with the time I have at the moment to make anything (this is where motherhood makes an entrance) this space is ok!
